Our Crest

The St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools Crest (above) is a solid cross on top of the initials, SV, representing our Catholic faith as teh foremost aspect of education. On the ribbons flowing from the cross and encircling the SV are three Latin words which the Daughters of Charity initiated: Religio, Scientia, Cultura (religion, knowledge, and culture). The united wheat strands, representing the Eucharsit - coming together to receive Christ as the "Bread of Life" - symbolize the merger of all St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools in 2012 (Pre-K, K-12, and PSR). The banner above the wheat gives the inagural date of our St. Vincent Parish School, 1896.

This decision aligns with the Perry County lop Health Department’s announcement that the next two weeks have the potential for exponential spread of COVID-19 in our community. They have encouraged all citizens to spend time only with their family groups. They further recommend canceling large gatherings and to continue good hygiene practices like handwashing and wearing masks. Our local health department is currently tracking 70 active cases and has asked more than 150 close contacts to self-isolate.

All buildings will be closed to students. Our summer cleaning staff will continue to sanitize and disinfect our buildings.

If you need immediate assistance, please email office staff.

We will monitor this situation with the guidance of our local health department and update you on the status of the closure on July 19.

We join Perry County Health Department in encouraging you to continue to stay at home when you’re ill, avoid large crowds, and physically distance and wear masks as recommended when you go out to protect yourself and those around you.

Please continue to pray for all of those affected by COVID-19 and all struggling through these trying times.
