College Credit & AP

St. Vincent de Paul High School offers a variety of college credit courses for students who are capable of academic success in the course.

Dual Enrollment: 1818 Courses, or Dual Enrollment courses, are taught in affiliation with St. Louis University and Southeast Missouri State University by trained St. Vincent faculty. Juniors and seniors can receive college credit for these courses. Additional fees are paid to SLU and/or SEMO.

Advanced Placement: Advanced Placement (AP) Courses are equivalent to regular college courses. Students in these courses may choose to take Advanced Placement exams in May. Most universities accept an exam score of 3 or higher as credit.

A+ Scholarship Program

Missouri Legislature passed that private/parochial schools may now participate in the A+ Scholarship Program.  A student that meets the criteria may have their college tuition paid for toward a junior college or technical/trade school.  The law goes into effect on August 28, 2016.  Our students may not start participating until we become a ‘Designated School.”  We will receive information in late September (from DESE and MDHE) on the process of becoming a Designated School.   We will keep you informed of the process and exactly when our students may start their tutoring hours. Click the link for more information on the A+ Program
