Purpose

The mission of St. Vincent Students for Life is to establish an active pro-life culture among the youth of our community by educating our peers on life and by actively promoting the right to life for all persons (born and pre-born)

Upcoming Events 

East Perry Fair:  Friday, September 20
Students for Life will be joining the pro-life float sponsored by Western Catholic Union.  We will be walking with them, offering a youthful presence.

Walk for Life: October 5
2 ways to get involved. Students for Life is sponsoring a team of walkers/runners.  Their job is to raise money prior to the event.  Students for Life is also helping work the event by being route volunteers.

Pro-life Week: 

  •  Silent Day of Solidarity: Students who are participating can wear their Students for Life club shirt. Papers are in the the High School office.
  • Wednesday, October 30 - 7:00-8:30 p.m.: Pro-life speaker night. Jacinta Florence, Missouri and Arkansas Students for Life Regional Coordinator gives presentation of pro-life apologetics!
  • Perryville Square: Cemetery of the Innocents/Chalk
    Help Students for Life set-up the cemetery of the innocents in memory of all the souls lost to abortion. Or help chalk positive pro-life messages on the sidewalks on the square. Come for all or part of this event.
  • 40 Days for Life - Planned Parenthood and Cathedral in St. Louis. Sign up (form attached) to go with Youth Ministry and SV Parish to pray and reflect outside Planned Parenthood in St. Louis. We will attend 10:00 a.m. Mass at the Basilica and eat lunch at noon. All welcome! 40 Days for Life Liability Form
  • Sunday, October 12 "Rosary for Life" -the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Missouri, invites you to participate in our annual “Rosary for Life.”  This event will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 9:00 a.m., at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.  Please gather at the Welcome Center next to the Shrine Church as we pray the rosary on the new rosary walk, if weather permits.  In case of inclement weather, the rosary will be recited in the Shrine Church.  Following the rosary, two speakers will talk about the preservation of life.  Please invite your family and friends to attend this event in which we ask our Blessed Mother to intercede for the protection of life. This generous community we live in never ceases to amaze us!

Park-et Restaurant will be donating a portion of proceeds from this Friday’s catfish meal to St. Vincent Schools! We appreciate their continued support of SV Schools!

    There will be no sports practices, school/sport activities, games, etc after Tuesday, March 17 @ 6:00 p.m. until further notice. This includes any open gyms, no weight lifting, no USAV activity at school, etc. The gym will be closed.

    Classes are scheduled to resume on April 29, 2020. Homework drop-off is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020. There will be a box for drop-offs in front of the Parish office. All new homework will be emailed to families.
