Our Crest

The St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools Crest (above) is a solid cross on top of the initials, SV, representing our Catholic faith as teh foremost aspect of education. On the ribbons flowing from the cross and encircling the SV are three Latin words which the Daughters of Charity initiated: Religio, Scientia, Cultura (religion, knowledge, and culture). The united wheat strands, representing the Eucharsit - coming together to receive Christ as the "Bread of Life" - symbolize the merger of all St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Schools in 2012 (Pre-K, K-12, and PSR). The banner above the wheat gives the inagural date of our St. Vincent Parish School, 1896.

The Golden Gala & Prom Dance Information

We have determined dates and venues for spring dances. Golden Gala will be held on February 27 at the SVHS Gym. Masks will be worn so feel free to match with dresses or shirts and ties.

Prom will be held on April 24 at Split Rock Venue (same as homecoming).

Be sure to follow the dress code in the student handbook when shopping for dance attire.

Please see below message regarding Golden Gala:

We are excited to inform you that SVHS is hosting "The Golden Gala" again on Saturday, February 27. The dance will be at SVHS Gym from 7:00 - 10:30 p.m. The dress code is SEMI-formal. This means NO formal gowns, NO tuxedos, NO suits, etc. Dress code will be STRICTLY enforced. Please do not feel that you need to make a hair appointment, make up appointment, etc. This is a simple semi-formal dance.

There WILL be a "The Golden Gala Court" and "King & Queen " crowning. One male and one female representative from each class will be voted for prior to "The Golden Gala". The class with the MOST attendance (based on class percentage) up until crowning will be the class representatives that are crowned "King & Queen". Crowning will be at 10:00 p.m. Homecoming court is not eligible to be on Golden Gala Court. If you are a freshman-junior and are chosen for court, you WILL still be eligible for Homecoming and Prom court for future. If you are a senior and are on Golden Gala Court, you will not be eligible for Prom Court.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, February 10 during lunch. Tickets will be $10.00 each.

Each SV student attending the dance will need a permission form that can be picked up in the High School office or printed below. This form is due NO LATER than February 19th. Form is also attached.

If you are currently dating someone from another school and wish to bring them, a permission form can be picked up in the HS Office and MUST be turned in NO LATER than February 19th. Form is also attached. These will be reviewed upon turning in and students will be notified if it is not approved.

Please be mindful that we are very lucky to be able to host the Golden Gala during a pandemic and this is possible by all students and families complying with our COVID policies.

Concessions will be available to purchase at dance.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wheeler at 573-547-4300 ext. 230 or Mrs. House at 573-547-4300 ext. 237.
